I've been trying to find the summary of games for GSL 3 finals, something like the GSL 2 one. Finally, Teamliquid.net has recently posted one so here's my brief update on the final result (Don't click if you don't want it spoiled).

Basically, the better gamer won.
MC had an amazing gameplan heading into the series, VR harass, DT harass + warp prism, 4-gate to counter terran quick tech, and he even tossed in a proxy gate for Steppes to fuck around with Rain's head. Call it cheese, call it lame, call it whatever; the guy made $90k in one tournament with a well-executed plan and superb micro. For tournaments like these anything goes, and you should be ready to defend against anything. Rain did not defend the proxy gate well in game 4 and simply did a terrible choice of strategy against a simple 4-gate for game 5. Same can be said about game 1, which I watched; committed to a one-base semi-all in his contain was decent, but it was too weak and late as MC had already gotten the expo.
I'm glad my protoss brother took GSL 3, it's about time we win something!
