Now, this chapter was entertaining in it's own way, such as the "Flying Dutchman" 's entrance and Brook's reaction to ghost and undead never cease to amuse me, unlike Sanji's allergic reactions to women. The pre-arc has been relatively slow and uneventful, but this one was pretty well-done as we get to see the "new" crew and the interactions between the characters. Most of the jokes used were running gags from before, like Brook's reaction; Luffy naming everything after food (Dried Squid for Kraken); Chopper's overreaction to everything possible. I really enjoyed the chapter as whole as we get to see all these antics after 3-4 arcs, but I do hope Oda doesn't overplay this like he did with Sanji, these running gags are funny once in awhile, not every chapter.
On another note, Carobou is way more useless than I thought he is. This guy has a devil fruit, but he's dumb as a brick, and also weak. He barely pass as a comedy relief (getting locked in a barrel and calling Franky "Mr. Bikini pants", and as much as I think his evil looks is pretty well designed, he's overall a weak and useless character and I would love to see him fed to Kraken for a snack.
